A message from Piedmont Park's Lead Pastor Michael Halfhill
about why he is excited about the "Faith for the Future" expansion project!

Our history leads us forward...

126 years ago the Lincoln City Seventh-day Adventist Church opened its doors to its 40 member congregation.  In 1960 it moved to 48th and A streets changing its name to Piedmont Park Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Today the 588 member congregation is going to expand once again with our "Faith for the Future" building campaign.

The "Faith for the Future" expansion will include...
LARGER FOYER
NEW MAIN ENTRANCE
MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM
WELCOME DESK
MINISTRY WORK ROOM
CONFERENCE ROOM
OFFICE SPACE
FAMILY RESTROOMS
NEW PARENTS’ ROOM

Financial Plan
**Figures below are current as of June 2, 2015**

What will this Expansion Project cost?
Total Cost - $1,248,445   (Includes Expansion and some Repairs)

Can we afford an Expansion Project that costs $1,248,445‚Äč?
Pledged so far = $973,437 (includes $124,844.50 from the KS-NE Conference)
Given toward pleges so far = $
682,617.05
Non-pledged giving so far = $116,965.42
Total amount GIVEN so far = $799,582.47
(amounts current as of December 3, 2015)

How will we raise the rest of the funds?
A Capital Campaign Team continues to prayerfully work on a campaign to inspire all of us to partner with the Lord and make our contributions.

The campaign commitments will run for 3 years. Some may contribute longer than that.

We plan with the Lord’s help, and all of us working together to have the project paid for at the end of the three years. No one wants to carry a massive loan for decades.

Most of the needed large gifts have been committed already, however more commitments are needed, and there are no small commitments. Every commitment is a sacrifice. And every commitment is valuable.

Are we going to take out a loan?
We can obtain a loan from the Mid-American Union of Seventh-day Adventists to cover the expense over the initial amount that we have in the bank at the start of the project. We need to have received donations equivalent to 35% of the total cost to get a loan. We need about $13,000 more in donations to reach this goal.
